Amun Sound

Fund Music. Share the Journey.

A community-powered music OS: fans back projects in small shares, artists repay from shows & streams, and everyone holds a futuristic Proof-of-Impact collectible. Mobile Money for artists, on-chain transparency for supporters.

A community powered music fund

Instead of artists struggling alone or begging labels, fans and investors come together to support one project at a time just like a susu (rotating savings group), but for music. For Artists: You get money upfront to record, shoot videos, or promote , no bank loans, no label traps. You repay in small monthly installments from shows, merch, or streams. After 12 months, you own your work debt-free. For Fans/Investors: You can back an artist for as little as $50 (or local cedi equivalent). Each contribution is turned into a digital receipt (NFT) that proves your support. You get your money back with fair returns (about 8–12%), plus perks like free tickets, merch, and early access. For Everyone: Transparency is guaranteed. Every repayment, every project status is visible on a public ledger. No hidden deals, no missing money.

Why It Matters

In Ghana and around the world , many talented artists never release their best work because they can’t afford studio time, videos, or marketing. Fans already spend on tickets, drinks, or merch but rarely share in the upside. Amun Sound changes this: it’s fair finance + community pride. Artists grow, fans benefit, and Ghanaian music shines worldwide.

How Amun Sound NFTs Are Tradable

1) What you own

Your NFT is a project share receipt. During the term, it entitles you to the project’s scheduled payouts and perks. After the term, it becomes a Proof-of-Impact collectible (perks may continue).

2) Selling before the term ends

You can list your NFT on the Amun Sound marketplace. The buyer inherits remaining payouts and perks. Price is set by you and the market. Past payouts don’t transfer.

3) Buying mid-project

When you buy an NFT mid-term, you get all future payouts and perks from that point forward. Check the project page for remaining months and current performance.

4) After the term

Repayments end. The NFT upgrades to a Proof-of-Impact badge. It remains tradable as a collectible with provenance (and may keep governance/benefits if the artist offers them).

5) Phygital & resale

If a phygital certificate was claimed, resale triggers a re-claim by the new owner (fresh QR/serial). This keeps the physical item tied to the on-chain NFT accurately.

6) Fees & settlement

Marketplace trades may include a small platform fee and optional artist royalty (visible before listing). Settlement happens on-chain; your dashboard updates instantly.

Reminder: Returns depend on artist repayments and project terms. Trading carries market risk; prices can go up or down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for artists, fans, and community investors. If you still need more, Talk to Kairo and ask anything.

What is Amun Sound and how does it work?
Amun Sound is a community-powered fund for music projects. Fans buy small shares (NFT receipts) to finance an artist’s EP/video/marketing. Funds release in milestones. The artist repays monthly/quarterly from shows, merch, and streams. Backers receive payouts and keep a Proof-of-Impact collectible at the end.
Do artists or fans need crypto? What currency do you use?
Artists in Ghana repay via Mobile Money (MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo). Fans/investors can use card or stablecoin (USDC on Polygon). The blockchain is used behind the scenes for transparency—no crypto knowledge required for artists.
How do backers earn money and when do payouts happen?
Backers earn from artist repayments (shows, merch, streams). Payouts are typically quarterly in USDC (or converted locally). Many pilots include a baseline return (e.g., ~10%) plus bonus upside if revenue is strong. Exact terms are shown on each project page.
What if the artist under-performs or doesn’t pay?
We reduce risk with:
  • Down payment from artist (10–20%).
  • Milestone escrow (funds released step-by-step).
  • Guarantor/referee (manager, promoter, community leader).
  • Transparent dashboard of repayments and progress.
  • Optional community reserve to cushion shortfalls.
Returns aren’t guaranteed; they depend on timely repayments. Check each project’s risk notes.
What does the NFT represent? Is it copyright ownership?
The NFT is a digital receipt showing your share of a project’s funding and payout rights during the term. It does not automatically grant copyright or master ownership unless a project explicitly says so. After the term, it upgrades to a Proof-of-Impact collectible (with perks and optional phygital certificate).
Can I sell my NFT before the project ends?
Yes. Amun Sound NFTs are tradable on our marketplace. If you sell, the buyer gets any remaining payouts and perks. Price is set by the market (supply/demand). See the “Tradable NFTs” section for how it works.
How do you prevent leaks of unreleased music?
LOCK SONG (Sonorr): token-gated previews, per-listener watermarking, and an on-chain hash of the master. Unlocks when funding is complete or on release date. Leaks can be traced and access revoked.
Is this an investment security?
We frame projects as community crowdfunding with installment repayments and perks. Terms avoid selling copyright or promising fixed dividends like a security. That said, returns depend on artist payments—please read each project’s conditions.
How is this adapted for Ghana?
Built around what people already use: Mobile Money, susu-style contributions, referees/guarantors, and live shows as real income. Diaspora can fund with card/USDC. Everything is tracked publicly for trust.
What are Amun Sound’s fees?
Typically ~10% to cover verification, escrow, dashboards, and payouts. Exact fees appear on each project.
What perks do backers get?
Depends on the project: early access, tickets/VIP, signed merch, meet-and-greet, governance votes, and an optional phygital certificate with QR to your NFT.
